Shining dreams of love and hope
Happiness for all no longer a dream
Sands of fate pushed away
Begging the future of peace

But the dark cannot be gone forever
Greed and lust fill up all desire
Shadows spread and pain restores anew
And champions become the heroes of darkness

Light returns to show them the way
Dreams are broken into so many pieces
Last chance gone with the dusk
A final whisper of things left undone

The cracks and seams begin to worsen

But still the greed grows further

Ageless sorrow of distant trying
Sentenced to their deaths for all their sins

Forgetting about the past we continue
Peace a dream beginning to scatter and fade

Yet never seeing how similar the present is to the past
